The Breville Blend Active is a personal mini blender that can handle most of the blending tasks of the more expensive power blenders out there, but at a fraction of the cost.
When I first saw how popular this mini blender was I immediately went to check out it’s features. The low price seemed too cheap to be warranting the hundreds of glowing reviews.
Read on to find out what I discovered, and why I decided to test it out for myself.

The Breville Blend Active is a mini blender with the ability to make smoothies, milkshakes, protein shakes and iced drinks. Although the power of the motor is significantly less than that of other blenders like the Nutri Ninja or the Nutribullet, it is more than capable of blending up ingredients to produce a healthy drink.
I decided to buy the family version – for a little more money (I paid £24.99) I got 4 cups instead of 1. I have been on the lookout for a quick and easy way to send the kids off to school with a healthy homemade drink. They always take a bottle of water with them but they like to have something flavoured with their lunch.
I was wavering over whether to buy some extra cups for our Nutri Ninja so they could take the drinks in them. But then I saw how cheap this blender was, and it had the 4 very transportable bottles to go with it, so it became a no brainer.
The choice of 2 smaller 300ml bottles makes it ideal for the younger 2 to carry in their school bags. The larger bottles are great for my eldest son or me to sip on through the day – or for making up drinks for dinner time. What was really important was that the bottles were leak proof.
And of course, I wanted to test it out so I could review it for you all too ?
